CReiss Watercolors

​Carol Reiss retired from teaching plant biology and now resides in Hope, RI.

She has exhibited her original watercolor paintings at many sites in Rhode Island.  She first displayed her work at the Scituate Art Festival in Scituate, RI in 2010 and participated in this event for five continuous years.  Her paintings have also been exhibited at the Garden City and the East Greenwich Festival Fetes. Her art appeared as part of a three person show at the Barrington Library for the month of November, 2012.    Carol organized the exhibit and presented work at "Block Island and the Artist" exhibit at the Dryden Gallery, Providence Picture Frame, Providence, RI in February 2013 and in the summer of 2016.​



Carol exhibited at the Winter's Eve Exhibit at the East Greenwich Free Library during December 2013, 2015 and 2016.  Her work has regularly appeared at shows sponsored by the East Greenwich Art Club and a juried shows at the Wickford Art Association gallery.

 

The painting "Lava Fields" was exhibited at the Wickford Art Association's "Poetry and Art Exhibit" in July and August of 2014 and has been sold.  Her paintings have been included in this juried show every year since except  2018. These paintings include "Shelter and Stream" (sold), "Fire and Ice," "Fireball"  and "Brothers" (in October 2019).

Carol's paintings have also appeared in several other shows at Wickford in 2018 and 2019, including Abstract/Avant Garde, Going Green, Landscapes Real and Imagined, the Annual Members show, Small Works Show and Anything Goes.
